web design roadmap
We think that it is nice to know where you are going with any project. Here's how we will get you to the end!
PROPOSAL
Starting with the request a quote, we determine the scope of the project. This includes the number of pages, style, content, and what e-commerce solution is appropriate for your business, if any.
After reviewing your responses, we determine if we are a good fit to work on your web project and ask any follow-up questions we need to clarify your needs and goals. Then we create a proposal and quote for your project, which we send via email. When you are ready to get started, you pay half as a deposit and the other half when the site is finished. Significant changes to the original agreement can incur additional fees, but these are always discussed before they are completed or charged.
MOCKUPS
We provide design "mockups" via email which we revise until you are satisfied with the design. We start with one or two design ideas, and then evolve the design based on your feedback. Often when you see the first mockups you will get more clarity on what you are looking for, and the revision process takes that into account.
If you have an existing brochure or business cards, we can match the style to preserve continuity between your marketing materials. Otherwise, we create a unique design based on your responses about your preferred style and format.
CONSTRUCTION
Once you are happy with the proposed design, we begin to construct your site. A design phase completion document will need to be signed prior to the web skinning process.
You will be able to view the progress of the web design in a web staging area. This will allow you to start to see the Web site in action. You can make suggestions and request changes at this time, as long as the actual template design is not part of the these changes.
LAUNCH
Once the site is perfect and you are ready to launch, we will upload it to your hosting server for you. You satisfaction with your Web site is our number one priority. So, we also include six months of free bug fixes, just in case we missed something during testing.
